Enjoy a Gorgeous San Diego Sunset at Serea

Author Jo Walton sums it up beautifully: “There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.”

If you’re looking for the best San Diego sunset view, look no further than Serẽa Coastal Cuisine! Located just a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean, we’ve got views that can’t be beat. Read on to learn why this is one of the best sunset spots in the San Diego region!

San Diego Sunsets Can’t Be Missed

As anyone who lives in or frequents San Diego will tell you, our sunsets are epic. It’s almost like someone has lit a torch across the sky, igniting it with colorful embers. And with the city’s almost always perfect weather, we’re treated to clear skies and beautiful sunsets more often than not.

Serẽa: The Perfect Spot to Watch the San Diego Sunset

Of course, some spots are better than others for watching the sunset. For anyone who loves a good sunset (and who doesn’t?), Serẽa can’t be beat!

Located in the legendary Hotel del Coronado, we’re located just steps from the beach. With our expansive deck and ample window seating, you’re guaranteed a great view, no matter where you’re seated!

Whether you’re sitting down for dinner or just meeting up for drinks, Serẽa is one of the best spots in the region to enjoy the sunset.

Best Time of Day to See the San Diego Sunset at Serẽa

Trying to time it out just right? We’ve got your back.

During the winter months (after Daylight Savings Time), sunset is roughly around 5 p.m. So be sure to arrive just as we’re opening for the day at 5pm! Coincidentally, this is a great time for a cocktail!

As winter comes to an end, the sunset creeps a little later in the day, to between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Then, once we “spring forward” in March, the sunset jumps back to between 6:30 and 7 p.m.

During May and June, the sunset will shift back even further, to about 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Then, during the early fall, the sunset starts to come earlier and earlier…in September, sunset will occur between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m…by October, it’s more like 6:00 p.m., and it will stay around that time until the clocks shift back again.

Of course, there will be various factors that could affect the sunset, such as the weather. So be sure to check the weather on the day you plan your visit if you want to be treated to the best sunset possible!
