best time of day to see the san diego sunset at serẽa

Trying to time it out just right? We’ve got your back.

During the winter months (after Daylight Savings Time), sunset is roughly around 5 p.m. So be sure to arrive just as we’re opening for the day at 5pm! Coincidentally, this is a great time for a cocktail!

As winter comes to an end, the sunset creeps a little later in the day, to between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Then, once we “spring forward” in March, the sunset jumps back to between 6:30 and 7 p.m.

During May and June, the sunset will shift back even further, to about 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Then, during the early fall, the sunset starts to come earlier and earlier…in September, sunset will occur between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m…by October, it’s more like 6:00 p.m., and it will stay around that time until the clocks shift back again.

Of course, there will be various factors that could affect the sunset, such as the weather. So be sure to check the weather on the day you plan your visit if you want to be treated to the best sunset possible!
