There’s nothing better than enjoying a delicious brunch with a seaside view, and that’s why Serea is bringing seaside brunch to the Hotel Del Coronado. Our weekend brunch begins on March 14th, and will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am through 3:00 pm. You’ll be able to enjoy a relaxing brunch with your friends and family while looking out over the ocean, a perfect way to spend some quality time on your weekend.
Creating Serea’s Weekend Brunch Menu
Chef JoJo Ruiz has curated the weekend brunch menu, which features delicious local ingredients that offer both paramount freshness and flavor. Chef Ruiz is the Executive Chef of both Lionfish and Serea, and he’s highly committed to sustainable seafood practices. It’s that commitment that has helped to earn the James Beard Certified Smart Catch Leader accolade. Today, Lionfish and Serea are the only restaurants in San Diego and Coronado to have earned this distinction.
Chef Ruiz’s dedication to sustainability and to using local ingredients makes for dishes that are flavored by the personality of the region. Chef Ruiz sources ingredients from farmer’s markets and local fishing and farming communities. He then lets the natural flavors of these ingredients shine in every dish, making for a delectable dining experience.
Serea’s Brunch Menu
Serea’s brunch menu includes many of your favorites off of the dinner menu, as well as some new specialty brunch items that are sure to delight. Start off with one of our four salads, including a Chickpea and Spinach or Beet and Grain salad. Our appetizers are plenty flavorful and perfect for sharing. The Local Halibut Ceviche is a huge favorite, or order some Zucchini and Eggplant Chips for a light, refreshing flavor.
Our brunch dishes offer a wide range of flavors and options. Go with the Smashed Avocado Toast, Eggs Benedict, or Social Benedict. Our Breakfast Sandwich is no traditional egg sandwich – instead, it features fried egg, double cut bacon, grilled Greek cheese, a lemon chili aioli, and a brioche bun. It’s served with herbed red potato. Similarly, our Pina Colada French Toast puts a fun spin on this traditional dish. It features roasted pineapple, almond crunch, pineapple chips, coconut whip, and rum caramel – totally indulgent, but totally worth it, too.
Local ingredients take center stage in the Farmer’s Market Vegetable Frittata, prepared with blistered cherry tomato, market vegetables, ricotta, and herb salad. Other delicious choices include the Lobster Roll, Garlic Harissa Chicken Kabob, and Steak and Eggs. No matter which dish you choose, you’re sure to enjoy a delicious San Diego brunch.
The menu doesn’t end there, though. We have an assortment of sashimi and big fish plates. Opt for wood grilled or flash fried fish, or indulge in shellfish or oysters.
